The roots of the Minicola family date back to the 17th century in the small mountain town of Roseto Valfortore in the Apulia region of Italy. After immigrating to North America in the 1880’s they eventually settled in Canada, making Peterborough, Ontario their home.
Individual family histories available so far include articles on the Minicola, Sabatino, Luisi and Ferrara families. Also read about the family Grosseria businesses: DM Minicola, Minicola Bros, Rose/Leonardo Minicola and the Minicola/Pepe store on Hopkins (formerly Elm Street). Use the ‘Family History’ link above for further details. Check back often as our family story continues to evolve.
